CDA Updates Details Regarding Housing Schemes

CDA Updates Details Regarding Housing Schemes

Islamabad: The civic organisation has collated up-to-date information on housing societies that will give crucial details to anyone looking to purchase plots or houses in the federal capital.

The official website of the municipal organisation would publish the revised information on the housing societies this week, according to the specifics.

It is pertinent to note that the civic agency grants private housing projects two-tier approvals.

First, the scheme’s Layout Plan (LOP) must receive technical clearance. Second, following the conclusion of the remaining requirements, the No Objection Certificates (NOC) for the development of the scheme are issued. After receiving NOC, the sponsors can begin the development process and the selling of plots.

Agro farming and residential housing developments are permitted in Zone 4 under the terms of the ICT (Zoning) Regulation, 1992 [amended in 2010], and licences are provided by CDA after the necessary processes have been completed.

Furthermore, housing project marketing and advertising without CDA approval is prohibited and illegal.

Adding to that, sponsors have also been instructed not to promote or develop housing developments without CDA’s NOC. The illegal housing societies are creating serious concerns to anybody wishing to invest in real estate in Islamabad, according to various segments of the community.
