LDA Demolishes 13 Illegal Properties Situated on Main Boulevard of Allama Iqbal Town

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) took action on Tuesday and demolished 13 unlawful houses located on the main Boulevard of Allama Iqbal Town in an effort to curb illegal constructions and unauthorised commercial use of property.

A team under the direction of the Director Town Planning Zone II, Asad uz Zaman, carried out the operation as per the instructions of the Commissioner Lahore and the DG of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

The team focused on Allama Iqbal Town’s main Boulevard area and demolished 13 unlawfully constructed stores, eateries, food stands, sheds, and other commercial structures.

Multiple notices were allegedly delivered to the owners of these unlawful properties before the operation. It is pertinent to state that to assure the operation’s efficacy, a substantial amount of police equipment and officers were also deployed.
